Hui 2022

Our spring Hui this year will be in Auckland and our theme is ‘Growing up with FASD in Aotearoa’.

A series of speakers will address the issues, interventions and supports for each stage of life, from childhood to adult, including the education system. The programme will have great appeal for both caregivers and professionals.

Through discussions we have had with the Changemakers in Canada (a coalition of individuals with diagnosed FASD who advocate powerfully for global change) we’ve realised that the voices of those with FASD are largely unheard in Aotearoa. So Hui 2022 will provide a platform for us all to hear from and learn from those with FASD, to enable them to articulate their own lived experiences, and to support their voices and advocacy for FASD awareness throughout Aotearoa. There’ll be some fun events too – many have not knowingly met others with FASD and the opportunity for mutual support can be life-changing.

Registration will be on this page, so save the date! Sign up to newsletters, join up or follow FASD-CAN on Facebook to stay updated, the full programme will be notified soon.

We’d love to see you at the Hui this spring.

All are welcome, nau mai, haere mai!

See you there
